"ROSE CODE™ knows empowered girls become a catalyst—transforming their own lives first, then leading transformative change in their communities and the world beyond"

  • ROSE CODE™ envisions a world where every woman and girl has the knowledge, resources, and opportunity to reach her full potential.

  • Economic empowerment is the foundation of our impact work because when women and girls have the resources, skills, and opportunities to learn, earn, and lead, entire communities benefit.

That’s why we invest in long-term solutions to deeply rooted inequities—focusing on five interconnected areas where gender gaps are most profound: digital inclusion, education access, economic empowerment, ethical sourcing, and environmental sustainability.

  • Digital Inclusion

We expand access to computers, internet, and digital skills for girls through ROSE CODE™ Labs.

  • Education Access

We help close the gender gap in education by supporting STEM educational infrastructure and skill-building for girls and women.

  • Economic Empowerment

We create pathways for women to achieve financial independence and long-term opportunity.

  • Ethical Sourcing

We partner with suppliers who invest in women while producing environmentally sustainable products.

  • Environmental Sustainability

We minimize our footprint through plastic neutrality, recycled packaging, regenerative sourcing, and organic ingredients.

    Impact

We design for all women, championing access, inclusion, and opportunity at every step. We break down barriers and work to close gender gaps in health, education, and opportunity.

Digital Inclusion

Our flagship initiative, ROSE CODE™ Labs, bridges the digital divide. A ROSE CODE™ Lab is a computer lab where girls, teachers, and other community members can go for free access to a computer and the internet.

Why this matters:

40% of people in low-income countries have internet access, yet 90% of adolescent girls and young women in these regions are offline.

Without internet access and digital skills, they cannot access resources and employment opportunities.

ROSE CODE™ Lab at the Songea Girls School in Tanzania

In November 2024, we opened our first Lab in partnership with Camara Education at the Songea Girls School in Tanzania. We transformed a disused school building into a tech-enabled learning hub with 40 computers and trained local teachers in digital instruction—impacting 832 students and integrating digital learning into every classroom.

Education Access

We ensure that women and girls have access to high-quality education, skills training, and resources so they can transform their lives. We help close the gender gap in education by supporting STEM learning, educational infrastructure, and skill-building for girls and women around the world.

Why this matters:

  • Gender disparities in access to education in low-income countries persist, despite ongoing development efforts.
  • Educating girls literally saves lives! Women with higher levels of education experience lower maternal and child mortality.
  • Quality education expands employment opportunities in adulthood.
  • Increasing women’s and girls’ educational attainment contributes to women’s economic empowerment and more inclusive economic growth.

Economic Empowerment

We create pathways for women to achieve financial independence. Through investments in job training, entrepreneurship, and inclusive economic systems, we support women in building stable, dignified livelihoods that uplift families and communities.

Why this matters:

  • Investing in women’s economic empowerment sets a direct path towards gender equality, poverty eradication, and inclusive economic growth.
  • Women are disproportionately impacted by poverty, discrimination, and exploitation despite their enormous contributions to economies.
  • Gender discrimination means women often end up in insecure, low-wage jobs and are underrepresented in leadership.

Training Women to do Plastic Recovery via RePurpose

We invest in training and employment of women to recover plastic and support the economy in areas where pollution and gender inequality are the greatest. One project we support is Project Hara Kal in Kerala, India, which trains local women to collect and stop low-value plastics from reaching the ocean.

Through Project Hara Kal, 820 female waste workers are formally trained and employed. To date, 23,446,319 pounds of plastic waste have been removed from the environment.

Abahizi Rwanda

We collaborate with Abahizi Rwanda, an employee-owned handbag and accessory manufacturer committed to uplifting the livelihoods of women and transforming the surrounding community. Employees receive continuous vocational training, fair wages, employee ownership, financial literacy, and continuing education. To date, 300 jobs have been created and 2000 families have been positively impacted.

Training and Employing Female Farmers with Pavitramenthe (India)

We source our 100% fair-trade mint oil from Pavitramenthe, a regenerative organic farm in India. We specifically source from women farmers to support economic empowerment and promote gender equity.  All of Pavitramenthe’s products are organic & Fair for Life (FFL) Certified.

Ethical Sourcing

We partner with suppliers who invest in women while producing environmentally sustainable products. These partnerships promote income security, social impact, and regenerative practices.

Why this matters:

  • Companies often source ingredients from regions with few labor protections, leading to issues like child labor, forced labor, and unsafe working conditions.
  • Workers are often paid low wages that don't meet living-wage standards. Globally only 24% (less than a quarter!) of employers currently pay workers a living wage!

Environmental Sustainability

We embed environmental responsibility into every decision we make, from the ingredients in our products to the way we design our packaging and manage our supply chain. Our commitment is simple: create products that are good for people and the planet.

Why this matters:

Beauty packaging contributes 120 billion units of trash annually.

Certified Plastic Neutral

We support the recovery of as much plastic waste from nature as we use in our packaging, supply chain, and shipping.

Through our partnership with rePurpose Global, we measure and offset our plastic footprint by funding programs that recover and recycle the equivalent amount of plastic we produce while also creating green jobs for women around the world.

1lb of plastic used = 1lb of plastic recovered ethically

  • FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) Certified Packaging

The materials used in our packaging come from responsibly managed forests. The FSC certification guarantees the wood or paper used in our packaging is tracked throughout the supply chain, from forest to consumer, supporting sustainable forest management practices.

  • 1% for the planet

1% for the Planet is a global network with thousands of incredible businesses and environmental organizations working together to support people and the planet. ROSE CODE™ is committed to donating at least 1% of annual sales to environmental organizations to drive environmental impact.

Clean, Vegan, Non-Toxic Ingredients
